Privacy Policy
This short Privacy Policy explains how Justin Villalta / SkinsCaddy ("we," "us") handles personal information for the SkinsCaddy website, Android app, and web/PWA companion (the "Services"). We aim to follow PIPEDA principles for Canadian users.
SkinsCaddy is a free golf companion / scoring / practice app. Tokens, tips, and in-app skins scoring are virtual only — no cash value, not redeemable for money, and not real-money gambling. The app does not process payments for bets, operate a sportsbook, or facilitate cash wagers between players.

2. What we collect
We collect only what the product needs:
- Account (if you create one) — such as username, display name, and email.
- Device info — device type, OS, app version, IP address, and similar technical data needed to run and secure the app.
- Gameplay / practice data — scores, course selections, skins scoring activity, virtual token balances, and similar in-app activity.
- Optional photos — only if you upload them.
- Approximate location — only if you turn it on (for example nearby courses). Precise GPS is not required to use the companion features.
- Support messages — what you email us, including waitlist notes.
- Cookies — as described in our Cookie Policy.
3. Why we collect it
- Provide scoring, practice, skins companion features, and your account across devices.
- Keep the Services secure and diagnose crashes (minimal crash/usage logs if used).
- Respond to support and waitlist requests.
- Comply with law and prevent abuse.
4. Ads and analytics (may use)
SkinsCaddy is free to use. Future revenue may come from third-party advertising (for example Google AdMob or a similar network) if the app gains users. If ads or analytics are used, we will disclose:
- the ad or analytics network name;
- that the network may collect device identifiers (such as an advertising ID), approximate location if the OS allows it, and crash/usage data;
- why the data is collected (serve ads, measure installs/performance);
- that personal data is not sold as a standalone list and is not shared with advertisers by default beyond what the ad SDK needs to serve ads.
Ads will be clearly marked. We will not mix ads with skins scoring or token results so they look like a prize or payout. We will not target ads based on betting behaviour. Tokens stay cosmetic / in-app only. Where the platform supports it, you can opt out of personalized ads (for example Google Ads settings; Apple ATT if an iOS build ever ships). We do not show personalized ads to children. If we add an ads SDK later, this Policy and any store Data safety form will be updated the same day it ships.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with advertisers by default. We may use service providers (hosting, email, crash reporting, and — if shipped — an ad network) only as needed to operate the Services. We may share information if required by law or to protect safety and rights.
6. Virtual tokens
Virtual tokens and related in-app skins scoring items have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and are not real-money gambling. Token balances may be stored so features work; they remain virtual only.
7. Age and children (18+)
SkinsCaddy is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 provided information, email skinzcaddy@gmail.com and we will delete it.
8. Your rights (access, correction, deletion)
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing skinzcaddy@gmail.com or using our Delete account page. We will respond within a reasonable time under PIPEDA and applicable law.
9. Retention and security
We keep account and gameplay data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then delete or anonymize it after a valid deletion request (generally within 30 days unless law requires longer). We use reasonable security measures; no method is perfect.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy and will post the new effective date here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
